Damage Assessment Solution

Per Iowa Code, HSEMD is responsible for providing guidance and methodologies to be used in collecting damage assessment information and for providing the forms and format by which the information is recorded. Local Emergency Management Agency (EMA) partners are responsible for facilitating the collection and submission of local damage assessments throughout impacted counties. HSEMD is responsible for providing technical assistance and completing a state verification of damage assessment information to determine statewide impacts and determine if a major disaster declaration will be pursued federally in partnership with FEMA. HSEMD is seeking a web-based solution that meets local, state and federal needs to efficiently and effectively coordinate statewide damage assessments.
